Thursday is the New Friday

Morning everyone! ☺ Don't you just love how Thursdays feel like Fridays because it means Friday is almost here?

Last night my head was beyond the point of exploding due to a migraine…BLAH. I hate those things. They don’t happen nearly as often as they did growing up and in college (maybe it was moving away from the West Texas winds…?) but I did end up with one yesterday afternoon during our grocery trip.

We FINALLY returned the movie, but couldn’t come to an agreement on dinner. I was thinking soup and salad, Nate wanted something he could “sink his teeth into”, and so we settled on pita pizzas with turkey bacon, mushrooms, tomato sauce, and fresh mozzarella with a side salad.

Here’s the pre-oven pic:

And the post-oven pic (they fit so perfectly on our small plates!)

And a shot of the salad:

I love Ken’s Lite Vidalia Onion dressing. I mean, if it says “Vidalia” in it you really can’t go wrong! Also added a couple of croutons. This girls LOVES her bread!

I ended up going to sleep at about 8pm and didn’t make any of the treats I normally do for work; HOWEVER, I was able to make the dough, so tonight it’s just a matter of baking them off while we wrap Christmas presents!

This morning, after a little yoga, I made the usual oats, but added some dried cherries (about a tablespoon), and sprinkling of chocolate chips, and a little granola. I adored the cherries, but the chocolate (although good at first) kinda weirded me out. Not sure why? And the granola wasn’t my fave either. I’m thinking tomorrow I’ll probably just do the cherries again and call it a morning!

Snacking on this apple later after a cup of Mighty Leaf Organic African Nectar tea:

Pink Lady apples are my favorite.apples.ever. They’re the perfect amount of sweetness, crunch, and tang…perfecto!

I’ll be posting my lunch (I am OH so excited about it) a little later on, and will be taking a run later too!

Wreck ‘em!

  1. Congrats on having a man in your life that considers a pita pizza something good to sink his teeth into!
