Merry Christmas everyone!
Hope you guys are all having a wonderful and joyous day :)
We got in to Lubbock tonight around 5pm or so. We got up and left the house in Denver at 6, so that's about 10 or so hours of driving...yikes!!!
Here are some of my Christmas presents from
Nate: some awesome colorful bowls from Anthropologie:
I'm already planning on using the small ones for ice cream :) Is that bad?
When we finally got in my family had dinner hot and ready for us! We had chicken tacos with all the fixin's, my favorite being the avacado pico de gallo:
And some Mexican beans my mom made in the crockpot:
Here's the family making their plates while I snap away. Dad, Mom, Salah, and Nate:
And on the side we had some clementines that Salah peeled. I love clementines, especially when they're already peeled!
Their Christmas tree didn't fall down like our did :)
And a sparkly Christmas tree candle that I thought would be a cool picture
SINCE it's sparkly:
We ended up watching
The Hangover with my family. It's been decided that Salah is no longer in charge of picking movies to watch as a family, but we still love her anyway :) Bunker has this cute habit of suckling on the butt of the stuffed ducks we buy for him, so I took a little picture of him doing it:
And finally for dessert we had some granola bars my mom made. I am SO excited to be hanging out here for many many reasons, but one definitely being that my parents are great cooks, and very health conscious. That makes it that much easier on me to eat well here too!
I'm planning on blogging again tomorrow evening after Christmas dinner, but til then I hope you all have a very merry Christmas!
Question:
What is your favorite Christmas gift this season?
My favorite Christmas gift is definitely my new running shoes. I plan on putting in many of miles with those things!
