Bowls

Eeeek! How does this always happen? I try to make sure I'm blogged and ready to go before we leave for a trip, and all of a sudden the time creeps up on me. Yeesh!

I've eaten all of my food today out of bowls. First breakfast yogurt in a bowl, then the leftover beef stew for lunch in a bowl...nice and warm and very filling!

And then I worked my tail off for about 3 hours before I realized that - HOLY MOLY!! - I'm starving! As I said earlier, I planned ahead and brought a mix of oatmeal to make for my snack since we're having a late dinner in Copper Mountain. My bowl of oats:

It's 1/2 cup oats, 1 Tbsp dried cranberries, 1 Tbsp milled flax seed, 3/4 cup of water, 1/2 cup skim milk, 1 Tbsp almond butter, and 1 small banana. Delicioso!

I've gotta say, I'm so excited about going away just for the night. We won't have an over-abundance of laundry to do upon getting back, but it'll be just enough to help get out of the "real world" again for a little bit. I'll definitely be posting pictures of the food/skiing...maybe in some bowls? :)

For those of you who ski, snowboard, or would like to, what's your favorite place that you've skied/boarded so far?

  2. Those oats look GOOOOD! I've only skied at Winter Park in Colorado, and it sure seemed awesome, though I have nothing to compare it to! Have fun!

  3. Oooh, oatmeal from a bowl. That's my favourite. And speaking of favourites, I like Northstar at Lake Tahoe. A bit like Whistler, BC, but closer to home :)
